#AmCurrently Update: Where have I been? + Newsletter Announcement

Hello Hello! I’m finally back~

It’s been almost two months since I went on an unexplained hiatus but I’m finally hoping to get back to blogging and catching up with all the lovely blog posts I missed when I was away!

I think this was the longest ever I’ve been on a hiatus in the year and half I’ve been blogging. I’ve tried at least three times to sit down and write a proper blog post but I ended up abandoning and deleting everything I wrote because I either had no energy or I thought that no one would read anything I write and it doesn’t matter because there are thousands of other similar posts. Blogging is something I genuinely enjoy but the past month and so has left me so damn tired that I ended up in a slump in almost every part of life.

So today I thought I’ll summarize everything that’s been happening and share some things I’m currently enjoying! I hope this post doesn’t end up being too boring because well, my life’s pretty boring Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

All about ARCs: How and where to get them + Some tips

I have an obsession with ARCs…!

I would be lying if I said that I don’t go on netgalley and edelweiss every single. There is something about getting approved for an ARC, being all excited about it and then that exact title sitting unread on your kindle for months.

Let’s be honest, ARCs are pretty cool! Being able to read a book months before it hits the shelves and then providing your opinion on it is not only a great experience for the readers anticipating the book but also helps the author get a head start.

We are only four months into 2021 and *checks spreadsheet* I already have 20 ARCs for books releasing throughout this year and one for a 2022 release which I am super grateful about! So, how do you acquire ARCs? What even are ARCs? Let’s take a deeper dive into these questions!

December Wrap-up//We passed level 20 of Jumanji

Happy New Year!

I hope each and every one of you has been having a great or comparatively better 2021! This month has been pretty amazing so far! I recently celebrated my blog’s first anniversary and started my first read for 2021, The Burning God by R.F Kuang, which well, I’m suffering but in a good way :D

January is gonna be a tad bit stressful as my finals are approaching so I might go on hiatus in February. All that aside, I read a lot in December and there were very few yet impactful music releases!
